Youth parliament and Quiz competition succesfully held at Arambagh

Elocution with a blend of logical information gets the audience to the virtual reality of our parliamentary system this afternoon when the Arambagh High School bags the best award in Youth parliament competition organized by the office of the Additional District Inspector of Schools (Secondary) as part of the Youth Parliament & Quiz programme of the West Bengal Parliamentary Affairs Department. Seven winning teams from each Block namely Arambagh, Pursurah, Khanakul-I & ll, Goghat – l &ll and one from Arambagh Municipality take part in to the youth parliament  competition. Krishnabhabini Girls’ High School of Khanakul stands second. The presentations, modalities of the parliament are rightly imitated by the students by keeping their originality too.

In Quiz Competition, 14 teams comprising of the best and the runners up teams from each block and municipality join to get the crown. Sri Debdip Sarkar and Sri Suman Mandal both the students of class x of Arambagh High School again secure the top position while Debiprasad Bhakta and Barnali Modak of Kailash Chandra Sadhukhan High School near Ankri Srirampur get the second position. The Sub-divisional Information & Cultural Officer performs the role of Quiz Master.

 In the evening the winners along with the other participants are honoured with the trophy  by Smt. Manika Bagchi, ADI (Secondary), Sri Shibprasad Malik, Ex-MLA, Prof. Pranab kumar Dalal, eminent educationist, Sri Basudev Nandi, Assistant Inspector of Schools.

Hundreds of students, guardians and teachers from different educational institutions have enjoyed this day long programme. The winners will participate in the district level competition on 13 Nov 2010 at Chinsurah Municipality Hall (Near Pipulpati) from 10.30 a.m onwards.
